It was always my intention to share my third term with the Deputy Grand Master.
Now is the opportune time to give effect to that decision.
I will be assuming the role of Grand Master of the Grand Council of the Royal and Select Masters effective from the end of October and I am going overseas on a pre-booked cruise from early November until mid-December.
Given my assumption of other duties, it is now the right time for me to stand aside, effective immediately, and allow my Deputy, RWBro Anthony Bucca, to undertake the role of Grand Master prior to the September Quarterly Communication.
In doing so, I would like to thank Tony for his support and encouragement through some difficult times since early 2020.
I offer him and his new Deputy, who will be elected on Saturday, my every good wish.
I know that my Senior Grand Officers and members of my Ceremonial Team will be disappointed with this decision, but I pledge my continuing loyalty and support as Immediate Past Grand Master.
