Brethren,

Freemasonry is a worldwide Brotherhood that embraces people of many faiths. Our traditions require that our members have a belief in a Supreme Being, and that they live peacefully alongside their fellow citizens.

In Freemasonry, men of many faiths meet peacefully together, under the one canopy, each respected for their own beliefs, and each with their own Volume of the Sacred Law. A major tradition of Freemasonry is that we do not discuss religion or politics whilst at Lodge.

Freemasons do pray for peace. Our thoughts are particularly with our Brethren and their families in the Middle East. We do provide practical benevolence for people in the troubled places of the world. We do hope for a speedy resolution to the serious differences across our planet. We stand for good.

Fraternally,
