We all begin as Rough Ashlars.

Freemasonry provides us with daily advances into becoming better men.

Can you imagine Freemasons Victoria where everyone gets to shine? A place where every single member grows to the best possible version of himself. Where Lodges are happy places; where we are pleased to be in each other's company.

These are real, worthwhile goals. And they are achievable. This is the type of Freemasonry where our members will be our finest advertisement. This is how the community can observe us and say “Wow! That man is a Freemason. I want to be like that.”

Best behaviour is the key not only to our survival, but also to our growth.

Good men will seek us out. Good men will want to join us – and stay with us.

You have heard me talk about the Ethics Centre review. This is an important and thorough study about us and our organisation. Whilst it looks at some of our mis-steps in the past, its focus is about how we get better in the future. A far better place to be.

At 7:30pm on Wednesday night (16 December), Dr Simon Longstaff from The Ethics Centre will outline the findings and tell us about a blueprint for the future where many things get better quite promptly.

Next Wednesday's meeting will be online. I will also talk to the Craft about how we can best – TOGETHER – bring these changes into effect.

Together, we will make the right decisions.

Together, we will re-build our Craft, piece by piece.

Together, we will be happy, and communicate that happiness to others.

Brethren, this is a very important meeting for us all. The Grand Secretary will email links for you to be at our online meeting at 7:30pm on Wednesday, December 16.

Can I count on you to be there?

Thank you Brethren, bye for now.
