SERVICES AVAILABLE
A number of services are available to Freemasons Victoria members, particularly those seeking pastoral care for themselves or family members.
Emotional/Mental Health Support
Over the past two years, RWBro. Dr Ted Stephens OAM has provided free psychological counselling to 118 members. This service is free, does not require a GP referral, and typically conducted over the phone to remove travel and waiting period barriers. Text Dr Ted directly on 0427 643 221.
Almoner/Chaplaincy Support
Almoner services are offered through a team led by the Grand Almoner, VWBro. David Thompson. Almoner services are also available through local Lodges and Districts. Chaplaincy services are provided state-wide by Grand Chaplains, VWBro. Geoff Paton and RWBro. John Glover. Personal Financial Support – Freemasons Foundation
Freemasons Foundation Victoria may be able to assist members and families experiencing personal financial challenges. Freemasons Foundation Victoria in its capacity as Trustee of Freemasons Benevolent Fund can provide financial relief of:
- Current members who are unable to adequately provide for their needs.
- Any person dependent on the member who is unable adequately to provide for the needs of that person.
- Any person who is unable to adequately provide for his or her needs and who was the spouse, child, or dependant of a Freemason at the time of that Freemasons death.

Financial Management Help for Lodges
Assistance is now available for Lodges experiencing financial management challenges. WBro. Neil Hart-Smith can provide guidance to Lodges in relation to financial administration, management of Lodge funds, and taxation issues. His services are provided for free.
