Latest Guidelines for COVID Precautions
COVID infections appear to have affected a significant number of Victorian Freemasons. A number of cases seem to have spread over the past two weekends at Craft, Chapter and Mark events.
The guidelines for Freemasons Victoria remain the same as those announced on February 23. Regular Lodge operations have resumed, and only double vaccinated members and guests are permitted to attend Lodge meetings and events unless a valid medical exemption applies.
Accordingly, it is a requirement to continue to use QR codes to enable evidence of being double vaccinated or holding a valid medical exemption to be produced. COVID, in one form or another, is still within the community and we must be cautious.
While the rules have largely returned to normal, we must continue to be vigilant and aware that members are still at risk. Accordingly, it is strongly recommended that members wear masks while attending Lodge meetings. It is essential that we continue to scrupulously observe social distancing requirements and the use of hand sanitiser on a regular basis.
The Grand Master will continue to make all necessary announcements, after taking the advice of the Freemasons Victoria Future Recovery Team chaired by the Deputy Grand Master, and the Grand Secretary.
