20 July 2021
The Victorian Government has today (Tuesday) announced the COVID-safe lockdown is to be extended for a further seven days until 11:59pm on Tuesday 27 July 2021.
As a consequence, the closure of all Victorian Masonic Centres and Lodges continues until further notice.
The health and safety of our members and their loved ones remains our top priority. After the lockdown concludes, any re-opening of Masonic Centres and Lodges will be considered by the Masonic Governing Council, following any recommendations from the Freemasons Future Recovery Team, which includes a number of health professionals. We will always act with caution.
The Grand Secretariat joins with the Grand Master in sending best wishes to members of the Masonic family across Victoria. Members are urged, where possible, to be promptly vaccinated for some protection against Coronavirus.
Fraternally,
RWBro. Garry Runge OAM JP
Grand Secretary
