A free Christmas luncheon for widows will be held at Noon for 12:30pm on Saturday 14 December 2024. The event will be held at Freemasons Melbourne, Ground Floor, 288 Victoria Pde, East Melbourne.
Our widows can enjoy a Christmas lunch with the trimmings, a Christmas drink or two, and then go home with a free Christmas gift bag. There will be entertainment provided by Brendan Scott. Everything is free but is strictly by ticket only. Bookings will fill quickly, so register early to avoid disappointment.
Widows are encouraged to organise free transport to and from the event through Freemasons volunteers from their local Lodge. There will be an upstairs lounge for the volunteer drivers to enjoy nibbles and soft drinks until the event finishes at 2:30pm. Alternatively, widows may wish to be accompanied to the luncheon by a family member or friend of their choice, also at no charge.
The free event is also open to older Freemasons who may be widowers or on their own at Christmas time. It is a great way for Lodges to re-connect with older Brethren who cannot get to night-time meetings throughout the year.
Parking: There is limited street parking around Freemasons Melbourne. Paid parking is available next door at the Epworth Freemasons Car Park, 320 Victoria Pde, East Melbourne. Drop-off is available at the front door at Freemasons Melbourne, 288 Victoria Pde, East Melbourne.
