About The Lodge
Blue Dandenongs Lodge meets at the Belgrave Masonic Centre, which was founded and commenced meetings originally in Ferntree Gully Shire Hall on 14 April 1928. A number of members of Peace and Loyalty Lodge No. 261 and members living in Belgrave from some of the city Lodges, discussed forming their own Lodge.
Foundation members are Dr Shirley Francis, George Chandler and Henry Wilkins who was the Foundation Master of the Belgrave Lodge.
Current Lodge Secretary RWBro. Robert B. Mc Gregor P.D.G.M is one of two members still affiliated with the Lodge who was involved in the Blue Dandenongs foundation.
The first meeting in Belgrave took place in Belgrave State School on 11 May 1928. The first meeting of the Lodges in the new Belgrave Masonic Centre took place here on 8 March 1929.
The Lodge is always interested in meeting new prospective Freemasons. Ken Damm, Director of Ceremonies recently commented in The Yarra Ranges Weekly that the involvement with other members offers friendship and interaction with like-minded men.
