After a career spanning more than 35 years Bro Matteo has extensive experience in senior management in the construction industry in Victoria. Bro Matteo has lead organisations through change and strong growth. During this time Bro Matteo has lead teams working on numerous projects such as the Burnley Tunnel, The Queen Victoria Building, The Royal Childrens Hospital, The Box Hill Hospital and the Woomargama bypass in N.S.W..

Currently semi-retired Bro Matteo continues to work as a Vocational education teacher and lecturer at RMIT in the area of construction and property services, where he has also been appointed for a 2 year term to the Vocational Education Governance Committee.

Prior to his retirement Bro Matteo was the General Manager at Maddalon Bros. in addition to holding this position Bro Matteo was General Manager at Eastern Plant Hire overseeing operations across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Alongside the need for strong financial acumen, this experience has provided a unique perspective of what ‘best-practice’ leadership is across a diverse range of geographies.

In addition to an extensive corporate career, Bro Matteo served for six years on the Freemasons Victoria former Board of General Purposes and held the position of Grand Superintendent of Works and chair of the Works VAT for 4 years. Bro Matteo was also a member of the Joint Orders Working Party which was formed by members of the Craft, Mark and Chapter to explore opportunities for the three degrees to work closer together and has recently completed two years in the Grand Mark team.

Academically Bro Matteo has Construction qualifications as well as an MBA and MComm from RMIT and PhD in Construction supply chain management from Victoria University.
