David Fisher is a senior banking executive with over 30 years global experience. Whilst his career has been spent in traditional risk streams of financial services across both retail and wholesale banking his last more than 10 years have been focused on technology risk management and Information Security (including cyber and physical security, privacy and fraud). Today David is a senior executive with National Bank where he is the Executive, Technology, Information Security (physical and cyber) and Enterprise Operations Risk, as well as managing NAB’s property portfolio which is a key accountability for the Commercial council.
David is also an experienced company director, including being a past director of Royal Freemason Homes, a member of several industry associations including Australian Institute of Company Directors (Fellow since 1990); FINSIA (Fellow since 2005) and the Chartered Governance Institute (Where he is both an Associate and a Chartered Secretary / Chartered Governance Professional).
David’s Masonic journey commenced in 2017 in Lodge Amicus 928, finally being Raised in 2018. Today he is the Master of Lodge Amicus.
The experience David brings to the Commercial Council comes in large part from over 30 years in global banking which has equipped him with the relevant pre-requisite skills sought by the Commercial Council including financial management, strategic planning, and risk management at senior levels; his extensive Board experience as a non-executive director and chairman; as well as his value driven approach to everything he does, which values align to those of Freemasonry.
