Guiding Star Lodge No. 922 is hosting a District Open Night to be held on Wednesday 31 March 2010 at 7.30 pm at the Sebastopol Masonic Centre, Albert Street in Ballarat.
Open Nights provide an excellent opportunity for Freemasons to engage with the public and to introduce prospective new members and their families to the Craft. Ladies are very much part of the Masonic family today and will be very welcome.
A guest speaker, specialised in addressing these gatherings, will talk about the history of Freemasonry and help dispel the myths and unveil the mysteries of the organization as well as explain its charitable commitment to the wider community.
The District covers Lodges which meet in Ballarat, and wider afield from Daylesford to Smythesdale and from Bacchus Marsh to Ararat.
Visitors will sit in the actual Lodge Room and will be encouraged to ask questions about the furniture and the layout of the room. Answered too, will be the question asked at all open nights - what do Masons carry in their little black cases!
You are cordially invited to come along and find out.
Supper will be served and the evening is expected to end about 10 o’clock.
Contact: Chris on 5336 2395 if you would like an invitation to be forwarded to you.
