Library/Museum
Freemasons Victoria maintains an extensive Masonic library and museum of historical artefacts.

The Museum contains an extensive collection of objects with Masonic decoration including pottery and porcelain, glassware, silver, furniture and clocks, jewels and regalia. Items belonging to famous Freemasons are on display together with examples from the Museum's extensive collection of prints and engravings, photographs and ephemera. The Museum of Freemasonry staff are always pleased to help visitors with enquiries regarding identification or to respond to telephone or written enquiries.

The Library contains many modern and rare and out of print works concerning Freemasonry and related topics. It maintains complete collections of leading regular publications including the transactions of Quatuor Coronati, the world’s premier Lodge of research, as well as those of The Victorian Lodge of Research and other Masonic journals. Services include the loan of books, enquiries on Masonic history, symbolism and society.

The library and museum are open to members of the general public for the purposes of research at the discretion of library staff.

Opening hours:

Monday - Friday 9.45am – 12.15pm, 1.00pm – 3.15pm
Wednesday open until 7.15pm
Opening hours subject to availability of volunteers
