Tools for Timor

| Students at the Don Bosco Technical School in East Timor using tools supplied by Freemasons Victoria |
Through out 2003 Freemasons Victoria, along with the Salesians of Don Bosco, the Knights of the Southern Cross, Rotary International and a considerable number of other community organisations and businesses collected three shipping container loads of tools for donation to relief efforts in East Timor. Over 270 000 volunteers donated their tools and their time to collect the hand tools which were then repaired, sharpened and shipped to the Salesians of Don Bosco in
East Timor for distribution through its missions. The tools were to help rebuild houses and infrastructure destroyed in the lead-up to East Timor's independence vote.
