The Board of Benevolence annually awards $200,000.00 in recognition of academic excellence at tertiary level. The nine scholarships and bursaries currently on offer are awarded to assist students with fees for further education in their chosen field. Certain awards assist students in particular disciplines such as the Harry Bury Memorial Architecture Scholarship or the John & Ann Clements Music Scholarship. The majority of scholarships awarded by Freemasons Victoria through the Board of Benevolence are offered for continued secondary education, though in some cases Tertiary level study is also supported.
